Acoustic Guitars — December '08

The Non-cutaway Guitars
Although they're hardly 'traditional' looking, our Non-Cutaway acoustics are a step towards a more classic shape and style.
The extra airspace in the body gives these guitars greater bass response and projection than the already-excellent cutaway versions. Particularly helpful for baritones, this added 'oomph' lets the lowest notes speak with real authority and depth.

New Wood Options
(Rosewood, Granadillo, Sycamore, Maple)
We like to explore all kinds of new directions in guitar building, and that certainly includes different species of wood. As our Acoustic line grows, it was inevitable that new and exciting woods would become part of our offering.
This year, we added several new wood types to our line, including Indian Rosewood, Curly English Sycamore, Granadillo, and the ever popular Flame Maple. With tones as unique as their looks, the new wood choices let our customers further fine-tune their guitars to fit their needs.

New Acoustic Detailing
Fingerboard Binding and Pearl Logos
This year also saw some subtle improvements to our Acoustic line of instruments, clearly situating them at the top of our product line. All Acoustics now include "invisible" bound fingerboards, with binding that matches the fingerboard itself, and covers the fret ends. This makes for a smooth, uninterrupted look, and also avoids the well-known fret end "poke" issue as the wood goes through its seasonal changes.

The headpieces of our Acoustics now feature an inlaid mother-of-pearl logo, in a flowing script design.
