News from our Shop Get the first look at the latest new instruments, works-in-progress, artist updates, and other Veillette news! A new face and a new sound for our Gryphon! February 3, 2010 We are very proud to introduce the Oval-Hole Gryphon!
This piece, the first of its kind, is destined for Terra Guitars: Based on our Oval-Hole Studio shape, this Gryphon doesn't just look different - it has a very different voice from our original 'moon-hole' design. The low end is wider and more 'open' sounding, with a little more volume and 'chop' to the rhythm sound. The high end trades away a little sparkle in exchange for a meatier midrange and stronger attack. We are thrilled with how this turned out, and there will be more coming! We're also very pleased to be expanding our range of available sounds and options, to really accommodate the needs of all our players. There's more exciting news coming along - it's going to be a good year!
