Standard - Tuned
As a company that has specialized for years in alternate tuning ranges and scales, it is very
important to us that our standard-tuned instruments have the same character, voice, and
design consideration as our alternative-range instruments. We feel that these guitars offer
not only the immaculate construction and quality components of our other models, but also
some distinct details that set them apart from other "standard" guitars.
Our Standard-tuned 6-string Journeyman, with its wooden bridge and high-fidelity
acoustic pickup, offers the player a true acoustic tonality and styling, without the feedback
problems and fragility of conventional acoustics. This beautiful acoustic tone is married
to a slimmer body and sleek neck that offer electric-like playability and convenience.
The Standard-tuned 12-string features a 24.1" scale, a change from the "standard"
which makes the instrument fundamentally easier to play. The reduced string tension
results in playability that most 12-string players would never imagine possible,
even with heavier gauge strings. Intonation in the upper ranges is also dramatically
improved over the average 12.
