Centaur

The newest bass from Veillette Guitars is the Centaur – a double-cutaway bass, magnetic-pickup instrument built to cover the widest possible spectrum of tones, and inspire the player with a comfortable, familiar-feeling, and visually pleasing design.

Citron pickups (other brands available by request) are standard on the Centaur, and their unique, aggressive midrange sound, tight lows, and balanced high end contribute to the Centaur's tremendous 'cut' and presence. The Centaur's flexible electronics combine an active 2-band EQ with easy-access battery compartment, which allows the player to change a battery without tools, literally in seconds.

The Centaur also features a 'radiused' top - the entire front surface of the bass is curved, naturally guiding the arm into a comfortable playing position (no sharp corner), and concentrating the mass of the instrument in the center of the body. This gives the feeling and comfort of a thinner body, while preserving the punch and sustain of a full-thickness instrument.
