Built in the same shop with the same high-end components and woods as all Veillette instruments, the Alpha bass has the fat, upright-like tone and superb playability that have always set our basses apart. The height adjustable wooden piezo bridge is unique to this style of bass - no more shims or sanding the saddle. Adjustments are as easy as turning a wrench, and will not compromise the string-to-string balance. The simple Volume and Tone controls are deceptively powerful.these basses have an incredibly wide range of tones available with a simple change of hand position.

By using a satin oil finish and no fancy top, we are able to make the Alpha basses available at a more affordable price for the working player. These features also give the bass a classy, no-frills look that reflects Joe's original design intent - to make a tool for musicians, free from extra decorations, and 100% driven by function.
